Most people fill their pools with tap water if they’re on city water, but you should be aware that doing so can add up to $1,000 to your water bill. You can truck in water to fill your pool, but that’s more expensive. Each truckload of water costs about $400 and most pools need seven to 12 trucks’ worth.
