Diamond Certified Expert Contributor, John Pittman: A clean swimming pool requires three things. I call it the three Cs: consistency, chlorine and cleaning. Consistency should be – check your pool once a week. Less than an hour each week and you will have a clean pool. Chlorine is what you need to sanitize the pool, it is the most cost effective and it’s the best sanitizer oxidizer. Then you finally have the cleaning back in the pool when needed, keep a clean filter, clean baskets and skimmers and you will have a clean swimming pool.
