with Ross Rohrer of Residential Design and Build
So when you're comfortable with the company you're working with or talking to the next thing you want to do is start looking for materials, color scheme general layout, and sort of nail down the design points. And you want to get help from that contractor based on their reference sheet that they'll send you showing you where to go to look at materials and stuff or go out with you if you want them to go with you as a design help, they can.
So basically once you've decided on that you want to see the references of that company, the actual jobs that they've done. And not just call the customer on the phone to see if they're happy, but go see them for yourself. So you can see the actual work quality, talk to them about their experience.
And if the job is selected carefully out of the many jobs, the customer has done, it might help you decide on what materials you're going to use after seeing some of these jobs.
