I'd like to talk about cushions. I think that cushions make or break a project. If you have a sofa that's well done, but the cushions are wrong. In any way, then it's going to reflect poorly on the whole job. A cushion can be sewn wrong, cut wrong, it can be filled wrong so that it's too hard or too soft.
A cushion really makes or breaks the project. One way you can increase of the life of your cushion would be to rotate them regularly, flip them over. fairly regularly, every week or two maybe. And if it's a sofa with three cushions, for example, you would want to reverse them end to end if, typically, as is the case, somebody sits on one end of the sofa more than the other.
So if you not only rotate them, flip them, but you rotate them end to end, you'll get a lot more life out of both the cushion cover and the filler inside.
