Video: Choosing the Right Paint Colors for Your Home

I recommend that you look for repeating colors in your home. You look at your furniture, artwork, and different accessories that you've purchased over the years, because there will be a color that repeats. Also, I'd recommend, um, an inspiration photo if you have a Pinterest board or any, or maybe, maybe there's a piece of artwork that you just absolutely love. 

And I don't, a lot of people don't know this, but you can go to the paint store and get a paint sample. You don't have to get a whole gallon. The sample size is about this big. And then the brush I like to use is a two inch. The reason for that is because it fits right in here and you can just hold the little pot of paint and then paint the sample on the wall. 

Also, it's a good idea to label it, if you have multiple samples, with this blue tape because it does not take the paint off.
