I've been asked the question Should I consider moving out of my house during the construction process. And I would say that that depends on the construction process. If it's a bathroom remodel and you have an extra bathroom you can stay in the property.
If it's an addition on the back of the property that impacts maybe a bedroom. You can stay in the property. If it's a kitchen remodel, you may want to reconsider staying in the property, because once the kitchen is demolished it's less than comfortable to stay there because you can't cook.
I have done projects where I've moved the refrigerator into an adjoining room and and The water system is actually utilized from the backyard to wash dishes, and that has worked for some people, but on the whole, it is much more comfortable to move out during a committed kitchen remodel.
