Diamond Certified Expert Contributor, Gustavo Guerrero: If you’re having gutters installed, make sure your contractor does not install the gutter straight or level. If this happens, water will stay inside the gutter, and rot them out prematurely.

Make sure your contractor provides proper slope towards the downspout for proper drainage.
