It is critical when purchasing a home to know the different types of inspections that are available and what they encompass. One is a wood destroying pest inspection, commonly called a WDO inspection, which looks for wood destroying organisms only. The second is a pest inspection, which will include rodents, bats, insects, or other pests. The third is a general home inspection, which focuses on the physical attributes of the house and its components.
Each of these inspections provide different valuable information. Lenders only require a wood destroying organism inspection for the sale or purchase of a home, but getting a pest inspection and a general home inspection is advised because of the valuable information that they'll provide.
