Hi there, my name is Simon Toncliffe. I'm the owner-operator here at West Valley Arborist Incorporated. So, we cover all aspects of tree care, starting from tree pruning, tree removal, stump removal, planting, transplanting of trees, deep root feeding of trees, and pest control. So, the fact that we're a licensed corporation, everybody that works for this company is on payroll. We have state-of-the-art equipment. We use stump grinders, wood chippers, bucket trucks, and we have heavy equipment to do larger tree removals with cranes. I started out when I was 17 as a trainee and soon advanced to becoming a climber, then a lead climber, and then a specialty climber removing, you know, trees that a lot of guys didn't want to take on. It was a challenge, and that was what I really liked about the job and proving to my boss that I was the best person that he could hire. Ultimately starting the company, it was important to me that if I was going to hire people, they had to have the same integrity and passion for the job. Being an owner-operator, it is important that I spend time with my crew and discussing with the foreman, the supervisor, the homeowner, and just going through the scope of work that we had originally priced to do. So they feel comfortable, and it's really important for me as an owner and my employees that they understand what it is that we are setting out to do. And there's our philosophy right there: let your trees be our future. So it's not just a business for us. We give free estimates and consultation.
