We recently had a client who hired their own structural engineer and marked the specific wall not being load-bearing. During the demolition, our crew noticed that this wall was in fact load-bearing. We immediately reached out to our engineer and framing team who went out the same day to install a temporary wall. The following day, we installed the required beams to carry the upstairs load. Our trained employees were able to catch this early on and act quickly to ensure the safety of our clients. There would have been a catastrophic damage had we not caught this, and the whole top level would have fallen on the first floor. As you can imagine, our clients were beyond thankful.
