Hi, my name is Ron Leach. I'm with Rafael Floors Abbey Carpet, and I'm one of the owners of Rafael Floor Covering. Rafael Floor Covering Abbey Carpet installs carpet, vinyl, hardwood, and laminate floors for our customers, which we've been doing for a period of over 50 years. We provide premium products to our installers. Just to give you an idea, this is a six-inch wide heat tape. The reason we use this is when the carpet is seamed, it has more hold here with a six-inch wide as opposed to a three or four-inch wide, which a lot of installation companies use. A three-inch wide or four-inch wide is more susceptible to failure over the years. We use a six-inch tape; it costs about twice as much, but we feel it gives the customer a better product for a longer term. In addition, we use a wide tackle strip, and this holds the carpet to the wall when we stretch it. Most companies use a tackle strip that's about half this wide, so down the line, if you're cleaning your products or you have some movement in the product, it's going to pop off the tackle strip. Ours is better secured and would be lasting for quite a long time. The purchase of the flooring is a big decision for you. We try to make this as easy as possible, and we think given the wide variety of choices that you have here, the non-stressful environment, the fact that we loan samples, we can assist with selection of color and the proper product for the application, and our in-house installation staff would give you the best possible job that you could get.
