My name is Terrell Martinez, and I am the president of Martinez Stair Company Incorporated. We specialize in building custom wooden handrails, as well as architectural trim, including crown moldings, window treatments, and door treatment. After working as an apprentice since 1997 and seeing that I could do things better, I decided to open my own company. I'm very concerned with the customer being happy first of all, and for the stairs to complement their homes. The last customer that we worked for really didn't have an idea of what they would like to do with their stairs as far as the design. I worked with him by showing pictures, having him go through my website, going through my Facebook page, and we were able to create something that was very strong, very sturdy, as well as aesthetically pleasing. One of the things that customers fear is that if the job takes a little longer than a week, let's say, that we'll just leave their house tore up, or that we'll do demo and tear the old stairs out and not return for another week or so, or who knows how long. We don't jump from job to job. We're very adamant about doing the job in consecutive days. We pride ourselves in completing the job from beginning to end. Customer satisfaction is number one. Craftsmanship also is just right up there. We treat our customers' homes as if it was our own, keeping clean, not being scared to go out and make one more cut just to make it really excellent. The difference between nice and excellent is a big deal for us. And with every single job, I try to find a way to do things better. And so, for the last 14 years, I believe that we have been getting better and better with each and every year.
