Hi, my name is Justin. I'm the owner of Delta Transmission in Antioch, California. We repair transmissions, we do brakes, and tune-ups. We rebuild transmissions and differentials, transfer cases. We work on all basement models, Ford, and domestic. We offer a one year, twelve thousand-mile warranty on most of the work. We do have extended warranties of 18, 18, or 30, or 100,000. A lot of places like you to do a transmission flush. Watch when you do the transmission flush. If the vehicle has a lot of miles on it, a lot of times when you do the flush, it causes more problems than you've already had. We don't do RDI's. I do a set price on the transmissions. An RDI is where they have you come in, they'll have you sign a work order for say 800 to pull the transmission out, take it apart, and then give you the price of what's going to cost to repair it. What they do is, well, the reason why they do it that way is to go through and find all the hard parts that are damaged. They can charge you for each and every hard part. If you decide not to do the repair, they charge you the 800 to put your car back together, you get your car back. So, if I give you a price of twenty-four hundred dollars and you think it's high because they've told you that they want to do an RDI for 800 and then they're saying that yeah probably around 1800 to rebuild it once they get apart, they want to charge you for the hard parts, it's a bunch of hard parts that are damaged they're going to get the price up to say 2600 and at that time if you decide well the other guy told me I could do it for 23 you still you have to pay them the 800 for the RDI before you could bring it to me to do it for the 23.
