. Hi, I'm Marty Kerr, and my name is Nicole Johnson. We are the owners of Calrators Energy Solutions. We provide home energy testing and energy audits to homeowners and contractors in the Bay Area. We have been in business since 2006, helping homeowners with their comfort concerns. We started Cal Raiders at a time when energy-efficient homes weren't at the forefront of construction. We had both worked in construction and heating and air conditioning for over 15 years and saw that there was a real need for a good company in the energy industry, specifically a company that could come in and help homeowners make the right choice for their energy needs. Today, we have seen a major shift in the way homes are being built by contractors, as well as an interest from the homeowners to have their homes more energy-efficient. This has really allowed us to become the leaders in the industry. Everyone on our team goes through extensive training before they become a part of the Cal Raiders family. Our office staff and field technicians are well versed in everything energy-related. We hold weekly meetings to keep our staff up to date on any energy changes within the industry and make sure that we are consistently performing quality testing to the most current standards. We use high-calibrated equipment for every energy test we perform. We use duct blasters to pressurize the duct system and identify leaks within that system. We use a blower door to depressurize a home and identify leaks within the envelope of a home. With this, we're able to locate leaks within the windows, doors, light fixtures, electrical sockets, plumbing cutouts, fireplaces, pretty much any area that is leaking into a home. All of those inefficiencies are identified. We also use infrared cameras to identify hot and cold spots as well as insulation issues within a home. Most customers are worried that they're going to be sold something or won't know what to do once we've completed our audit. First of all, we're third party, we're completely unbiased. We don't go in the door and try to sell anything to a homeowner. Secondly, we don't perform any of the upgrade work ourselves. We simply test and provide solutions. Homeowners feel such a sense of relief when they know this. The last thing you want as a homeowner is someone walking into your home, performing an energy audit, and then trying to sell you on fifty thousand dollars worth of energy upgrade work. That's not us. We truly walk into every home eager to find the real causes of energy waste and help each homeowner find the right energy-saving solutions, big or small. Every member of our team holds themselves to the highest standards, and that continuously shows in the work that we perform.
