How quickly can you start and finish my project?

It depends on a variety of factors. First, there’s our schedule and the lead time we need for planning, design, and permitting. Then, there’s the construction process, which changes depending on the size and complexity of the project. The design process usually takes two to three weeks, and permitting takes two to eight weeks. We can usually complete projects two to three months after we receive the permit. That’s why it’s important to start the process several months before you want to start using your pool, spa or water feature.

Do you install concrete pools?

No, we only build pools with liners. The ground on your property is inevitably going to move and concrete doesn’t like movement, so if you pour a concrete shell for a pool, it’ll crack when the ground moves and there will be leaks. Pools with liners are flexible when it comes to ground movement, so they won’t crack.

Do you clean and service koi ponds?

Yes, we do koi pond cleanouts from November to March. Fish mortality rates skyrocket when you try to move them in hot weather, so we only do it during the winter. We move the fish into an onsite container with water, then we completely drain the pond and power wash the entire thing. After trimming back plants and making sure the inside looks good, we fill the pond back up and add the fish after the water settles and comes up to the optimal temperature.

Do you offer weekly pond maintenance?

Yes. During our weekly maintenance service, a technician will check basic water chemistry, add bacteria or algaecide if needed, check equipment like pumps and valves, trim back plants, remove debris from the basket, and net debris out of the pond.

Can you determine if my pond has a leak?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Finding leaks can get expensive—we have to charge for time and materials, and if we don’t know where the leak is, we have to work around the edge of the entire pond until we find it, which can take a long time. To make sure we’re upholding our standard of customer service, we start the process over the phone so we can get a more accurate idea of where the leak is. Once we get to your house, we can hit the ground running and not spend valuable time looking for the leak.

Can I install a pond or water feature and still be water-conscious?

Yes. There are many ways to have water features and not waste water. In fact, if you replace an area of your lawn with a pond, it’ll actually save water because you won’t be watering your grass. There are also ways to make a pond more water-friendly, like installing a rainwater harvest system that collects water from your roof and filters it into the pond.

What if I want a waterfall that doesn’t require maintenance?

We can build a pondless waterfall. Instead of falling into a pond, these waterfalls fall on rocks and end up in a hidden reservoir. This prevents insects, leaves and other matter from getting into the water, which reduces the need for regular maintenance.

Absolutely. We can install an automation system that lets you control your water feature from your phone, and if you want your pond to run at certain times of the day, we can automate that as well.

Many have wetland filters and intake bays, and they filter water by pushing it through different-sized rocks that collect debris.
