What I enjoy the most is that I can offer customers custom solutions. This is what we do in this industry, and being able to provide a product that we have that fits perfectly for each of the customer's needs. What I get out of this is that I can see my design, our design, our fabrication, and installation, and how it ends up being a product—it's a beautiful solution for the customer. So that's what I enjoy the most. Well, we have a few things that set us apart from other competitors. First of all, we take precise measurements for each customer, and this will provide us with a perfect fit for the product. So, that's number one. As you know, measure twice, cut once—that’s what we do all the time. We make sure the measurement is precise. We also provide very high-quality materials, including the fabric that we use for the fabric awnings. We also provide high-quality metal tubing, galvanized or not. We have a very well-known brand for different motor electronics. So, everything that we use is superb, the best in the industry. Another thing we have is customer support. A lot of times, you buy products and from the beginning to the end, the process went well, and once the job is done, you don't hear from the company anymore. We don't have that. We have customer support constantly after installation. We also provide a warranty for everything we do, so when customers have any issues right after the installation, we'll be right there for them, whether it be a phone call or just an email away. I think there are a couple of key points that you should be aware of when you start shopping for awnings for your home or for your commercial establishment. And number one, you need to know how long the company has been around. We’ve been established since 1922, so we’ve been here for 100 years already. That’s a critical point. Next, you want to know where the company is located. We are locally operated, right here in the Bay Area since 1922. Another thing you want to ask when you look around at the company is: do they have any certifications or affiliations? We are demo certified, and we also have a Better Business Bureau A+ rating. We are also constantly getting involved with the industry via affiliations, including the WCPA (Western Canopy Product Association). We also attend trade shows regularly, such as the IFAI (Industrial Fabrics Association International). These affiliations keep us updated with the latest technologies and what’s available out there, so those are the key points you should look into when shopping for an awning company. The customer should know that Acme is a locally owned and operated business, and everybody here lives in the Bay Area. We have a great staff and team members who have been with us for many years. For example, Alex, who was our welder initially when he was hired, has been cross-trained to be an installer. Now, after many years of outstanding performance, he is permitted to be a project manager, so he can supervise the in-and-out design of the entire project. I also have LaSheen. She is our production manager. She’s been with us for many years and supervises several other installers and junior seamstresses to make sure the final product is made to spec and delivered on time. Everyone I mentioned before is here, and we are here every day, Monday through Friday. You’re always welcome to visit us at our office, see the products, and learn about the things we do here anytime. I can introduce you to all my staff members anytime you want. Well, as I said before, when you're looking for a company, it’s important to choose one that's been around for many years. What sets us apart from other companies is that we’ve been here since 1922, so we are not the oldest, but one of the oldest awning companies in the Bay Area. That makes us unique. Also, we don’t just offer one solution or one product. Some companies only offer retractable awnings, others only offer fixed, permanent-frame awnings. In our case, we offer a variety of products with different customized solutions to provide you with a range of product options. So, that’s what makes us different from other companies. Additionally, our service area is another factor that customers should consider. While some companies may only be located in San Jose and serve only that area, we advertise and service the entire Bay Area. This means we will go all the way to San Francisco, the East Bay, the South Bay, and the Peninsula. Anywhere there’s a need for awning service, we will be there. That makes us very unique in that respect.
