Have your air ducts professionally cleaned to improve your indoor air quality.
When it comes to maintaining your house’s air ducts, you should focus on achieving two goals: limiting the amount of foreign particles (dust, pollen, pet dander, insects) and preventing moisture (which will reduce mold and bacteria growth). To ensure your air ducts are operating as effectively as possible, consider the following tips:

Limiting foreign particles
Change your air filter on a regular basis. Frequency depends on several variables, including the area in which you live, how often you run your system and whether you have pets. Ask your professional HVAC technician about the manufacturer recommendations for efficient air filtration.

• If your HVAC system uses more than one filter, make sure they’re all properly in place so air can’t get around them.
• Have a professional HVAC technician clean your system’s drain pan and cooling coils.
• Vacuum and dust your home on a regular basis. If possible, use a high-efficiency (HEPA) vacuum with a high-quality filter.

Preventing moisture
• If you find any water leaks or damage, call an HVAC technician as soon as possible.
• Inspect your system’s drain pan on a regular basis. Drain pans should drain completely, so if you notice standing water, it could be an indication of a major problem. Make sure the drain pan is completely free of debris before calling an HVAC technician.
• If your house has air ducts in areas that aren’t air conditioned (attics, crawl spaces, garages), make sure they’re sealed and insulated—this will help reduce condensation by lowering the temperature difference between the air in the ducts and the air directly next to the ducts.
• If you have to replace your air conditioner, make sure the new unit is properly sized for your house. An air conditioner that’s too big will cycle on and off more frequently, which ultimately makes it less effective at removing moisture from the air.

Two years ago, I had to have my furnace replaced, so I called them and scheduled a date and time with them. They showed up, found out what was wrong and said that I needed a new furnace, because the electronic board was no longer working. We discussed prices and different brands that I could afford, and when we agreed on a furnace, we scheduled a day for them to install it. They told me it would take 3 hours and 2 gentleman came out. It took them exactly 3 hours and my furnace has been working well ever since. I am going to call them in the next week to have them clean the floor vents. I have used them in the past for the other furnace that I had.
