NBE Property Restoration is the culmination of years of experience and dedication to the construction and restoration industry. The company is a subsidiary of Sonoma County Builders, Inc. and has deep roots in the industry. Brothers David and Eric Keith have been involved in construction since they were young, working for their family's business, Cobblestone Homes. Both obtained their contractor licenses at a young age and have continued to build on their knowledge and expertise through their work at K2 Environmental, Pacific IAQ, NorthBay Environmental, and Sonoma County Builders.
NBE Property Restoration provides top-quality services for property owners who have been affected by natural disasters, accidents or other unforeseen events. The company’s skilled professionals have years of experience in the restoration industry and are equipped to handle any type of property damage. “From water and fire damage to mold remediation and construction, we offer a wide range of services to get your property back to its pre-loss condition,” says David Keith.
NBE Property Restoration’s mission is to provide its clients with compassionate support and fast, efficient service. “We strive to make the restoration process as smooth and stress-free as possible for you,” says Mr. Keith. “We’re here to help you get your property back to its former glory.”
“Our customers are very important to us, so we’re always honest with them and we focus on providing them with quality work that’s done correctly the first time. We follow through on our promises and make sure every client gets exactly what they need at a price that works for their budget.”
When it comes to addressing a mold problem, a specialist’s expertise is your best bet for achieving a permanent solution.
A lot of homeowners think all they need to solve their mold problems is a little bit of bleach, but according to David Keith, owner of NBE Property Restoration in Santa Rosa, it’s rarely that simple. “In most cases, wiping down mold with bleach isn’t going to provide a permanent fix,” he says. “Bleach can be effective for cleaning dense surfaces like hardwood, but when it comes to porous surfaces like drywall, it won’t address the root of the issue. You can apply bleach all you want, but the mold will just keep coming back. In this case, you have to address the problem at its source by physically removing the mold from the drywall."
Additionally, Mr. Keith warns that care must be exercised when cleaning with bleach, as it can have harmful effects if misused. “Bleach is actually a lot more dangerous than people realize, which is why you need to handle it properly when using it to clean mold,” he says. “Most importantly, you need to water it down. Any bleach-based cleaning solution should consist of 10 percent bleach and 90 percent water. Once you have your solution, apply it with a spray bottle and let the sprayed surface soak for 10 minutes before wiping. This will give it adequate time to kill the mold.”
If it turns out your mold problem is too deeply entrenched to simply wipe away, you need to call a professional. After sealing off the affected area, a contractor will typically remove the mold in the wall by sanding down the wood until the spores are longer present. However, Mr. Keith says there’s a new tool that’s providing a more effective way for mold removal companies to approach this task. “These days, we’re using a tool called a dry ice blaster. It works like a sand blaster, but instead of shooting sand, it shoots little pellets of dry ice to sand down the affected surface. The nice thing about it is dry ice turns into carbon dioxide, which is a natural and environmentally-friendly substance. The dry ice blaster also does a better job than a sander, and it’s more effective at accessing hard-to-reach places like crawl spaces and attics.”
Maintaining customer satisfaction is a crucial aspect of any business, but it's even more important for mold removal and repair companies that have earned the prestigious Diamond Certified award. For NBE Property Restoration, customer satisfaction starts with instilling clients with a sense of confidence about their projects. "Our extensive knowledge and experience make our customers confident in our ability to provide safe, effective solutions," says owner Dave Keith. "I've personally worked on more than 2,000 mold projects throughout my career, so I know how to safely and capably address any given situation."
NBE Property Restoration has been providing mold removal and repair services for residential and commercial clients in Sonoma, Marin, and Napa Counties since 2011. The company also has the in-house capabilities to restore damage caused by fire and water, and its general contractor's license enables it to work on construction projects that range from small home improvements to full-scale kitchen and bathroom remodels.
Unlike less experienced mold removal companies that take on as many jobs as possible and routinely lag behind schedule as a result, NBE Property Restoration focuses on one project at a time so it can ensure the best possible results. "We tend to turn jobs around a lot faster than our competition without sacrificing quality or customer service," affirms Mr. Keith. "This is partly because we're very organized–by effectively managing all phases of construction and reconstruction on the jobsite, we're able to get in and out in a timely manner."
Another distinguishing attribute of NBE Property Restoration is its proactive approach to communicating with its clients. "We believe clear communication is the key to ensuring customer satisfaction," says Mr. Keith. "That's why we constantly check in with our clients, update them about the status of their projects and set them up with realistic expectations."
