Owner Omr Tamimi says Heating and Air Experts’ customer-oriented business practices have been key elements of its success. “Our goal is to build relationships with our clients so they feel comfortable referring us to others and calling us whenever they need help with their heating and air conditioning. We bring a lot of passion and expertise to every job, which they really appreciate.”
Heating and Air Experts prioritizes ongoing training for its technicians so they can stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in the HVAC industry. “We also hold weekly meetings to discuss our previous jobs and share our experiences, which makes us stronger as a team,” adds Mr. Tamimi. “Everyone who works here is committed to providing superior service and making sure our customers’ homes and businesses stay comfortable.”
“We’re looking for loyal, longtime clients, so we focus on doing a great job for every customer and being available whenever they need us. Whether they need minor repairs or a brand-new system installed, we’re dedicated to providing top-quality service and ensuring their satisfaction.”
Clean filters are the key to longer lasting, better functioning HVAC systems.
A new HVAC system is a big investment, so taking care of your current system is a smart move that can keep you more comfortable and save you money over time. But what’s the best way to take care of that system?
According to Omr Tamimi, owner of Heating and Air Experts LLC in Fremont, it’s all about making sure your filter is clean. “A clogged filter can lead to all sorts of problems,” he affirms. “You should be replacing your filter at least two or three times a year, especially if you have pets or your home gets particularly dusty. A lot of people think their heater and air conditioner are separate units that only need filter changes before the weather gets hot or cold, but both of them use the same filter, so it’s important to keep it as clean as possible.”
As to what type of filter to buy and install, Mr. Tamimi says it depends on your HVAC system’s manufacturer recommendations. “There are many kinds of filters out there, but any high-quality filter should work as long as it’s the right size. Your owner’s manual may recommend a certain type of filter, so you should follow the manufacturer’s recommendations when possible. If you have allergies, you can buy a high-end filter, but most of them will protect your equipment and improve your indoor air quality.”
While you’re swapping out filters, you should also think about your thermostat. “I recommend changing your thermostat batteries every time you change your HVAC filter,” says Mr. Tamimi. “Even if it’s still working, the thermostat might act up if the battery is running low, especially if it’s a smart model.”
Mr. Tamimi says that when thermostats stop functioning correctly, HVAC systems do as well, and homeowners might think there’s something wrong with their equipment. “We get a lot of calls from customers asking for help, but it turns out to just be a dead battery. Before you call a technician, make sure your HVAC filter is clean and the thermostat batteries are new.”
Maintaining customer satisfaction is a critical part of any business, but it’s even more important for HVAC contractors that have earned Diamond Certified. For Heating and Air Experts LLC, the key to keeping clients happy is going into every job with customer service top of mind and the intention to go the extra mile. “We want to form relationships with our clients so they feel comfortable calling us whenever they need help with their heating and air conditioning,” says owner Omr Tamimi. “Customer satisfaction is number one for us, so we honor our warranties and do whatever it takes to ensure their satisfaction.”
Heating and Air Experts has been providing HVAC services for residential and commercial clients in San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, and Alameda Counties since 2021. In addition to working on all types of heating and cooling systems (including offering 24/7 emergency service), the company is qualified to take on specialized projects like thermostat installation and air duct cleaning.
Unlike less experienced HVAC contractors that try to increase their profits by convincing customers to replace their entire HVAC systems, Heating and Air Experts understands that not everyone has the budget or desire to do so. “We specialize in repairs, so if a customer doesn’t want to replace their system, we have what it takes to fix it,” says Mr. Tamimi. “We can service and repair all makes and models, including older and less common brands, which our clients really appreciate.”
Heating and Air Experts further differentiates itself from its competition by constantly striving to improve its services and industry knowledge. “We provide our employees with a lot of training, but we also have weekly meetings so we can discuss previous jobs and go over what worked and didn’t work,” explains Mr. Tamimi. “Nobody has seen everything, but together, we’ve seen a lot. By sharing our experiences and figuring out what works best for difficult diagnostics and repairs, we’re able to learn from each other and better serve our clients.”
