Faith Painting has been a licensed painting contractor since 1992, serving the South Bay Area with quality residential and commercial painting for 33 years.
Owner Mario Corpuz has been in the painting industry for more than 35 years and uses his knowledge and wisdom to help clients with everything from maintenance painting to total transformations. “Picking out the right color for each project is very important,” he says, “so we work closely with our clients to ensure their projects come out with the best results.”
Faith Painting prioritizes clear, detailed communication on each painting project, which Mr. Corpuz says is crucial for achieving its clients’ goals. “From taping up windows to pressure washing surfaces, we put everything we’re going to do in writing and stand behind it during the entire job. Our comprehensive contracts and willingness to communicate keeps everybody on the same page.”
“Painting is amazing when done properly—it covers, protects and beautifies at the same time. Our team looks forward to helping people transform their properties to their original state or better. Our goal is to provide our clients with the best possible painting experiences and meet or exceed their expectations.”
When choosing a long-lasting paint product, think about how you use your space.
When it comes to selecting paint, most homeowners focus on color. After all, color is the first thing you see, and it can change the entire look of a home. However, for the sake of durability and longevity, you should also consider the finish. Experts say that while most new paint looks great at first, choosing the wrong finish for a given room can age paint faster and make it susceptible to wear and tear.
To avoid this, start by looking at how you use the areas you’re planning to paint. “For example, if you anticipate wear and tear on interior paint, I recommend choosing a scrubbable product,” offers Mario Corpuz, owner of Faith Painting in San Jose. “Also, once you decide if certain spaces are high-maintenance, low-maintenance or no-maintenance, your painting contractor can help you choose a corresponding finish, including options that can be cleaned with warm water and soap while leaving the finish intact.”
When it comes to choosing a durable paint, base your decision on the “shine factor.” Essentially, the shinier the paint, the more durable it is. Consider the following tips:
- Areas that see a lot of wear and tear (entryways, kitchens, hallways, window and door trim) should be painted with high-gloss or semi-gloss paint. High-gloss paint, while easiest to clean, is very shiny and can be a poor choice for interior walls. It also shows defects in surfaces, so it should be used carefully.
- Family rooms, hallways and kids’ bedrooms can be painted with satin paint that’s easy to clean. Satin paint is beautiful, but it can be hard to touch up and it shows flaws more clearly than flatter paints.
- Eggshell paints are flat with no shine—they cover imperfections well, but they don’t stand up to scrubbing as well as shinier paints. Living rooms, dining rooms and other rooms that require medium durability are good candidates for eggshell paints.
- Matte or flat paints provide the best coverage and are often the best financial value, but the lack of shine means the paint is hard to scrub without removing some of the color. However, low-traffic rooms like adults’ bedrooms and offices can be good places for flat or matte paint.
Maintaining customer satisfaction is a crucial aspect of any business, but it’s even more important for painting contractors that have earned the prestigious Diamond Certified award. For Faith Painting, the key to keeping clients happy is simple: make the painting process as comfortable as possible for them. “Whether we’re explaining our procedures, helping them choose colors or simply answering questions, we do whatever it takes to make things easy for our clients,” says owner Mario Corpuz. “Painting projects can be challenging, but our flexible services and ability to solve problems help ensure a smooth process.”
Faith Painting has been providing interior and exterior painting services for residential and commercial clients in Santa Clara and Santa Cruz Counties since 1992. In addition to painting all types of wood, metal and concrete surfaces, the family-owned and operated company is qualified to conduct color consultations, remove wallpaper, and more.
Unlike less experienced painting contractors that disappear after projects are complete and don’t respond to questions or warranty claims, Faith Painting stays in contact with its clients to make sure they’re completely satisfied with its work. “We’ve been doing this for a long time and proudly stand behind everything we do,” affirms Mr. Corpuz. “Our customers know we’ll be there whenever they need our help, and they appreciate that type of support.”
Another distinguishing attribute of Faith Painting is its honest approach to communicating with its clients. “Whenever we send out a proposal, we state exactly what we’re going to do,” says Mr. Corpuz. “For example, if it’s an exterior project, we’ll explain how we’re going to pressure wash surfaces and cover windows. Having detailed contracts keeps everyone on the same page so there are fewer misunderstandings. Our clients really like knowing what to expect before, during and after their projects.”
