If you’re like many homeowners, you probably aren’t thrilled about the idea of paying for house cleaning, but you might not have the time or energy to do it yourself. In this case, your best bet is finding ways to minimize the cost of house cleaning. Here are a couple of simple tips:

1. Prepare areas to be cleaned. Getting a head start on your cleaning crew will aid efficiency and help them get in and out faster. For example, if your oven needs to be cleaned, apply oven cleaner ahead of time so it’s ready to be scrubbed when the crew arrives. If your bedsheets need to be changed, leave fresh ones on top of the bed. Additionally, clearing off your countertops and other surfaces will allow your cleaning crew to clean them quickly and easily.

2. Communicate clearly. If you want your cleaning crew to use specific cleaning products, let them know ahead of time and clarify any instructions. By explaining things upfront, you can minimize the amount of guesswork the crew has to do, which will enable them to work with greater ease and efficiency.
