1. Exercise
Our bodies are meant for movement, but many of us don’t move nearly as much as we should. Ideally, you should be moving your body at least one hour each day, even if it’s just walking. Consider getting a Fitbit, which will keep track of how many steps you take during the day.
2. Nutrition
Processed and sugar-rich foods are difficult for your body to process and can contribute to health problems. Instead, try to eat fresh, organic food as often as possible.
3. Positive mental attitude
Research has shown that maintaining a positive mental attitude can actually change your brain chemistry over time. In fact, the effects of positivity have been found to be stronger than anti-depressant medications. Since mental health is often correlated with physical health, staying positive can have a big impact.
4. Hydration
Most people don’t realize how important it is to drink enough water. To find out how much water you should be drinking on a daily basis, simply divide your body weight in half—that’s how many ounces of water you should be drinking. So, if you weigh 150 pounds, you should be drinking 75 ounces of water each day.
5. Proper nerve supply
The nervous system is a crucial component of bodily function, so when nerves get pinched, it can result in health problems. By properly aligning the spinal column, your chiropractor can relieve these impinged nerves and help facilitate healthy nervous system functioning.
