Feliz Inzunza: Through the Roof
By James Florence, Diamond Certified Resource Reporter
When Feliz Inzunza was invited to help on a roofing job, he had no idea it would be the first step toward a lifelong livelihood. “I had a friend who worked in the roofing industry and he invited me to help him on a job,” he recounts. “I liked it right away, so I decided to stick with it and learn the trade. Later, I enrolled in a journeyman program and got my license. In 2017, I started my own company.”
Today, as owner of South Creek Roofing & Waterproofing Inc., Feliz says his favorite part of his job is guiding his customers through the roofing process. “I like talking to my clients about the issues they have with their roofs and helping them find the best ways to resolve those problems. And of course, it’s very rewarding to see how happy they are with the final product when we’re finished.”
A resident of Tracy, Feliz spends the bulk of his time outside of work with his family. “My wife, Anna Sylvia, and I have three children aged 21, 18 and 12,” he details. “I like spending time with my family on the weekends. We enjoy outdoor activities like riding bicycles and ATVs. I’m also a big sports fan, so I like watching pro football and baseball.”
In regard to a professional philosophy, Feliz says he routinely puts himself in his customers’ shoes. “I perform each job as if I was working on my own home, which means using quality products and taking the time to perform the work at a high level. That’s my philosophy, and that’s what customers will get when they hire South Creek Roofing.”
When asked what he’d do if he were to retire tomorrow, Feliz says it would be a mix of having fun and helping others. “First, I would do some traveling and visit some places I’ve never seen before. But I would also maintain an involvement in roofing by teaching people who are new to the industry and helping them be successful.”

A: I’ve always wanted to visit the Colorado River and Niagara Falls.
Q: What was your first job?
A: When I was 18, I started working for my uncle’s landscaping business. It didn’t last too long—I’m highly allergic to pollen, so it wasn’t a very good fit for me.
Q: What’s your favorite holiday?
A: Thanksgiving. My entire family gets together and we make new goals and decisions for the upcoming year. It’s a beautiful reunion.
