Amber Capurro: A Colorful Life

As a color consultant for Majestic Painters, Amber Capurro says her favorite part of her job is interacting with customers and helping them achieve their painting goals. “I really enjoy meeting clients and getting to know them on a personal level. Once I get a sense for their likes and dislikes, I’m able to find the perfect colors for their homes.”

A generational Californian and lifelong resident of the Bay Area, Amber currently lives in El Dorado Hills with her husband, Nick [Capurro, owner of Majestic Painters], and their two dogs. “I love it here,” she says. “The weather is wonderful and there are so many beautiful hikes to go on. It’s a really beautiful place to live.”

Outside of work, Amber spends most of her free time enjoying all that life in the Greater Sacramento Area has to offer. “One of our kids just graduated from UC Santa Barbara and the other is still in college, so Nick and I are just enjoying life with our dogs. We like doing outdoor activities like RVing, camping and boating on the lake, but we also like staying home and cooking together. We’re just living happily in the moment.”

Q: What’s your favorite movie genre?

A: Documentaries. 

Q: Are you a dog person or a cat person?

A: A dog person, but I love both. We have a Glen of Imaal terrier. 

Q: If you could immediately travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?

A: Either Italy or Greece. I spent a lot of time in Italy years ago and loved everything about it.

Q: What are some of your favorite Bay Area wineries?

A: Wente in Livermore, Orin Swift in Napa and David Girard Vineyards in Placerville.

Q: What’s your favorite color?

A: I love pink, fuchsia and red.
