Carpenter ants typically start with a parent colony and a dead or weak tree. They then build satellite colonies in the walls of the surrounding structures. This is when it becomes a huge problem because now they have entered your home and they cause damage just like termites do.

Even though they don't eat the wood, they still chew through it to make their nest. By treating trees annually with the spray and systemic treatment, carpenter infestations can be eradicated and prevented. Being proactive and treating trees close to the structure annually, you will prevent problems from occurring and structural damage from happening or people being injured by falling limbs or a falling tree.
