Diamond Certified Expert Contributor, Jill Sabel: When choosing paint colors for a small- or medium-sized room with limited or no natural light, whether it be a bedroom, a bathroom, or even a laundry room, always keep in mind that the darker colors will shrink the size of the room. So, always when painting a small space, use brighter colors. Bright colors make small spaces seem much larger. So, if you’re looking for a richer atmosphere with a deeper wall color, keep the ceiling at a minimum of half-formula of the wall color. Depending on the room, decorate with bright-colored highlighted items, such as throw pillows, pictures, mirrors, or even bright bedding for a bedroom. Things like that.
