Survey Comments

Stroke & Kote was founded in 1976 by Peter Inglis. Mr. Inglis spent years working on painting crews before deciding he wanted to become an "artisan painter." He specialized in Petaluma Victorian homes. The Petaluma Opera House and interiors of the Mystic and Phoenix theaters still bear his handiwork from the late seventies. His 1978 restoration of the McNear Building received front-page coverage and several awards for historical preservation.

Stroke & Kote has since become proficient in all aspects of interior and exterior painting. They regularly upgrade their tools and equipment and are always looking for new ways to produce more efficient and cost-effective high-quality paint jobs. They offer a full range of services including interior and exterior painting, remodels, custom homes, wood refinishing and high tech spray finishes. Present work is divided equally between contractors (custom homes and large remodels) and residential interior and exterior repaints.

COMPANY PHILOSOPHY
"We care about our customers and want to do everything possible to give them the result they want while keeping within the budget they've set. At least one of our experienced foremen is on the job site to guide the crew at all times. They review every job in detail with their team prior to beginning work, and they communicate with the home office daily. Any problems or customer concerns are addressed immediately. In the end, we want to create something that both the client and Stroke & Kote can be proud of."
