Marin Oriental Rug House is located in a familiar Marin County building—one that evokes legends of One Thousand and One Nights. Masoud Mossabeh took over the business in 1995 and has since established it as a store with a vast selection of the world’s most exquisite rugs. Max Safavi joined him later, bringing his unique insight into interior design. Marin Oriental Rug House has a 7,000 square foot showroom with a diverse collection of new, contemporary, period and antique rugs, kelims and tapestries. Their rug washing facility employs the traditional hand cleaning technique that has been used by the rug cleaners in Iran for centuries. This technique is gentle to your rugs and friendly to the environment. Marin Oriental Rug House also has skilled craftsman who can repair or renovate your prized rug.
