David Kapranos is a third-generation Marin County resident. He began his construction career working on BART in San Francisco and the METRO in Washington DC. After moving closer to home in the mid-70's, he re-focused his talents on landscape construction, working with his father, a renowned landscape architect in Marin County. In 1978 David received his General Contractor's License and established Kapranos Construction in Novato, specializing in residential remodeling. The business benefits from David's extensive construction experience combined with his BS degree in Business Management from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo. His formal education and practical experience strongly influence his ability to efficiently manage projects. He and his crews are known for being personable and conscientious, providing highquality service and product, all with an emphasis on minimizing the inconveniences that typically accompany the remodeling process.

PHILOSOPHY
"The remodeling process, by definition, disrupts the normalcy and order
of one's environment— it's the nature of the beast. We at Kapranos Construction
make it a priority to minimize the inconvenience caused during a home
remodel project. We also believe two-way communication is important in
a successful remodel. We educate our clients about the process and ask
that they keep us apprised of any questions and concerns that might arise
so issues can be addressed sooner than later. Our goal is to instill confidence
and achieve customer satisfaction. Most of our work is generated by referral
or return calls—we want to hear back from our clients should construction
services be needed again."
