Don's Transmissions has been serving Bay Area clients for a quarter century. They moved from their original San Leandro location to the current shop in San Leandro in 1985, where they have continued their legacy of providing high-quality workmanship and service.

Owner Himanshu Majmudar and his technicians rebuild, repair and replace those vital components that transmit the power from the engine to the wheels. That includes axles, clutches and automatic and manual transmissions. With their skill, paired with electronic diagnosis, they are experts at diagnosing transmission problems and are known for their ability to pinpoint and fix problems that mystify other shops. They work on all models and makes of domestic and foreign vehicles, including 4-wheel drives and overdrives.

"We make it a point to communicate clearly with the customer. We take the time to explain the problem and outline all options for resolution. The customer will be fully aware and have the opportunity to approve of any work before it's undertaken. If a problem arises we'll address and resolve it quickly, and will do anything in our power to ensure that the customer is happy."
